Find Your Nearest Shareholder Surgeon
QEH surgeons perform pre-operative and post-operative patient consultations at their own practice rooms. These rooms are located throughout Brisbane. To find your nearest surgeon, please fill in the form below and click the 'Find My Nearest Surgeon' button.
QEH is only a three minute taxi ride from Central Train Station or Roma Street Train Station and is walking distance to the centre of the Brisbane CBD.

Parking at QEH
Carpark Entry
A Secure Parking carpark facility is located underneath QEH for free use by QEH patients and their carers. To access this carpark please follow the process below:
- The entry to the Secure Parking carpark is accessible via Hope Street.
- The roller door at the carpark entry is open from 6.00am until 6.30pm. When the roller door is closed, use the intercom on the post to your right. Our staff will open the roller door for you.
- Take a ticket from the boomgate machine, even if the boomgate is raised.
- Once inside the Secure Parking carpark, follow the QEH signs to a parking bay near the lift.
- Take the lift to ground floor and turn left to reception. If the lift button does not call the down lift to the carpark level, use the intercom located near the lift entry. Our staff will send the lift down for you.
- Our reception staff will validate your parking ticket to provide you with free parking on the day of your surgery.
Carpark Exit
When leaving QEH, please follow the process below:
- Take the lift to carpark level B2.
- Drive to the carpark exit and if the roller door is closed, use the intercom on the right. Our staff will open the roller door for you.
- Hand your validated parking ticket to the parking attendant.
- Exit the carpark.
After-Hours Access via Little Edward Street
If you are arriving or returning to QEH after-hours (past 8.00pm) on foot from Little Edward Street, please follow the process below:
- Go to Leichhardt Court at 55 Little Edward Street.
- Use the intercom located to the left of the main building sliding doors.
- Our staff will open the main building sliding glass doors and guide you to either reception or recovery.
How to use our Intercoms
QEH uses intercom units to communicate remotely with patients. Intercoms are located at the following positions:
- On a pole to the right of the boomgate at the Secure Parking entry.
- On the wall to the right of the boomgate at the Secure Parking exit.
- On the wall to the left of the main building glass sliding doors.
- On the wall to the left of the storeroom door.
To use our intercoms please perform the following:
- Press the button (three grey vertical bars) located on the bottom right-hand corner of the intercom to call QEH.
- Wait for a QEH staff member to answer.
- Look into the security camera located in the center of the intercom.
- Inform our staff who you are, where you are calling from and whether you need to enter QEH, exit QEH, or use the lift to access the carpark.
Parking Fees
Parking is provided free for QEH patients and their carers. Please retain the Secure Parking ticket provided to you upon arrival by the Secure Parking carpark attendant. Bring this ticket with you for your admission to QEH. Upon admission, our reception staff will validate your carpark ticket and return this ticket to you. When leaving the carpark, present your validated ticket to the carpark attendant for free parking.
