Prof Glen Gole

MB BS (NSW), MD (NSW), FRANZCO, FRACS

Dr Gole is Director of Ophthalmology at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Brisbane. He holds the rank of Professor in the Dept of Paediatrics and Child Health of the University of Queensland. He studied Medicine at the University of NSW and trained in Ophthalmology under Fred Hollows at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney. He completed a Paediatric Ophthalmology Fellowship at the University of Iowa in the USA in 1984. His research interests include retinopathy of prematurity, childhood vision screening and paediatric low vision.

Dr Gole runs both private and public clinics at the Eye Clinic at the Royal Children’s Hospital at Herston.
