Training Materials
QEH staff are encouraged to become familiar with using a range of software installed on the QEH computers. Below are interactive training materials designed for self-paced training.
Microsoft Office
The Microsoft Office Suite is the industry-standard suite of software used in homes and offices around the world to organise and manage information in a variety of formats.
The 2003 version of the Microsoft Office Suite is installed on all QEH workstations and includes the following software:
- Microsoft Access 2003 - Database documents
- Microsoft Excel 2003 - Spreadsheet documents
- Microsoft Outlook 2003 - Send and receive electronic mail (e-mail)
- Microsoft Word 2003 - Text documents
- Microsoft Powerpoint 2003 - Slide-based presentation documents
QEH staff are encouraged to complete the Proficient Level training materials before attempting the Expert Level training materials. Staff can either complete all Proficient level courses before moving on to the Expert level courses, or alternatively, staff can complete the Proficient Level then Expert Level courses for each piece of software individually.
Note: These interactive tutorials include audio narrations. Please be considerate of any nearby staff when by viewing these tutorials by either using headphones or ensuring no other staff are within earshot.
Proficient Level Training
These are basic introductory courses that should be completed before the Expert Level courses.
Expert Level Training
These are advanced courses that require knowledge gained by completing the Proficient Level courses first.
Comprehensive Level Training
The Comprehensive Level course below covers both introductory and advanced concepts.
